I've always known how to move people with stories: whether as a Data Analyst uncovering hidden patterns, or as a Buyer who drove $500M in sales by making customers believe.
Since graduating from UC Berkeley a decade ago, my life has been a cross-section of tech, engineering, business, and the arts. As a classically trained soprano speaking three languages, I've spent my life translating across very different worlds. Combining these experiences with the intuition that only comes from a lifetime of voracious reading, writing, and editing, I learned exactly how to connect the dots to tell a compelling narrative.
I left my Big Tech career to found the Silicon Valley Writing Lab with a mission to help you find the extraordinary story hidden in the ordinary.
Many of my students come to me convinced they're bad at writing, or that they hate it — oftentimes both. But when they discover the dormant stories waiting to be told, they stop dreading the page, and writing gets shockingly fun! Nothing makes me happier than seeing them genuinely fall in love with the process.
Learn to love the page. For younger students, we work in small groups using creative, project-based learning — stories, characters, and worlds that make grammar and vocabulary stick naturally. For high schoolers and adults, we focus on the narrative craft, building toward exciting projects like essays, memoirs, or short story collections.
One-on-one guidance to write the story only you can tell. From summer program applications to college and graduate school, I help students write essays that make admissions officers stop and pay attention.
Language needs to be acquired, not studied. Grounded in Comprehensible Input theory, we build fluency through stories that are personal, customized, and actually interesting to you. You will command English with confidence and develop a voice that's unmistakably yours.
A small-cohort program for startup founders and brand owners whose first language isn't English. Drawing on my experience scaling nine-figure business portfolios and years of data-driven storytelling, I help you build a pitch that turns VCs, ACs and Buyers' heads.
